Price labels and your printer
Every card gets a short code when you buy it. The label carries the code, so a scan at the till finds the card.
- Open Settings, "Labels". Choose "One label" (price and code together) or "Two labels" (price on the front, code on the back, so a price change reprints only the small front label).
- Pick the labels you use, for example "A4 sheet, 65 labels" or a Brother roll, and what goes on the label.
- Tap "Print a test sheet" on plain paper, hold it over your labels, and nudge "Shift right, mm" or "Shift down, mm" until it lines up. Tap "Save".
- To print, open "Stock" and tap "Labels". Tick the cards in "New cards" or "New prices" and tap "Print" (it says how many labels).
- Once they are on, tap "Mark cards labelled" so they leave the list.
Connecting a printer
- Settings, "Labels" has "Connect your printer", with steps for "At a show", "At home or in a shop" and "From a laptop".
- At a show, use your phone's hotspot. Do not join your phone to the printer's own Wi-Fi network.
- In the print screen, pick your label printer, set the paper to your roll, and leave the scale at 100 per cent.
- No printer on the day? Every card's code is on its stock card. Write it on the sleeve and type it at the till.
